Women and girls In Bangladesh and worldwide do not enjoy the same status, power or access to and control over resources as men. Equal world is not possible without gender-based violence and discrimination.

Education

We provide access to quality, inclusive and playful learning in marginalised areas and underserved communities, and collaborate with the government, partners and communities for nationwide systemic change.

Skills development

We provide skills training and employment-related support to young people across Bangladesh, focusing particularly on people living in vulnerable and hard-to-reach areas

Migration

FFDA Migration Programme works to reduce exploitation across all forms of migration, empowering migrants and returnees to contribute to the development. Promoting safe migration, anti-trafficking initiatives, and sustainable reintegration, the programme provides immediate support, ensuring the well-being and long-term stability of returnees and their families.

FFDA Youth Development

FFDA Youth Development (FFYD) platform is an entity that was launched in April 2023, to collaborations the FFDA initiatives centered on youth empowerment.

Health

Our Primary Healthcare programme aspires to create scalable solutions for attaining national targets, working in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Extensive community engagement, our Community Health Workers, known as Shasthya Apa , empowering communities by enhancing their understanding of health issues, generating a demand for high-quality healthcare services, and bridging the gap between the community and healthcare facilities.

Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH)

Ensure that everyone, everywhere has safe drinking water, a hygienic toilet, and practices good hygiene, we deliver services to people living in hard-to-reach and underserved urban areas. Our approach ranging from developing WASH markets to building partnerships with local governments for improving solid and faecal waste management.

Climate change

People living in poverty are the most affected by extreme weather events, such as increased heat waves, rising salinity, erratic floods, cyclones, and unexpected droughts. These conditions impact food security, nutrition, water availability, health, and livelihoods.

Disaster risk management

FFDA Disaster Risk Management Programme works to build the resilience of communities in the most vulnerable situations and support people most affected by disasters. FFDA started its journey through providing humanitarian assistance.

Rohingya response

Our need-based holistic approach provides access to basic services including healthcare, learning, water hygiene and sanitation, food security, social protection, and equips people with skills to create livelihood opportunities and dignified socio-economic conditions.
